Itinerary:

Day 1: Meuangla-Ban SaMaKixay trekking to Ban Tanongpor homestay

This 2-day challenging trek touches on several natural attractions which includes water flowing from a natural fountain, Singkham Buddha Cave, Luang Cave and a pristine limestone forest. Start the day’s 4-hour trek from Ban SaMaKhixay, and reach Singkham Cave in 60 minutes. Continue trekking through the forest as the local guide explains traditional hunting skills, shares his knowledge of the secrets of medicinal plants, wildlife, and traditional uses of forest resources, and enjoy the fresh mountain air, and ascend ridges offering panoramic valley views. Reach at Ban Tanongpor (Khmu Tribe) for a homestay. Learn cooking local food with people, Participate in a traditional Baci Ceremony, a sacred Khamu blessing ritual. Learn about its cultural significance and receive blessings for good health, happiness, and safe travels. Upon Baci, have dinner with Villagers and enjoy with them. Stay overnight.

Day 2: Ban Tanongpor trekking to Luang Cave

After breakfast, start the day’s 2.5-hour trekking uphill from village with through the second forest, cornfields and rice fields. Reach and visit Luang cave, explore, take photos, enjoy the scenery, and then start the time’s 0.5-hour return
to rest and enjoy picnic lunch in a shaded area along the trail on the way, then continue walking back Ban Tanongpor and getting downhill to Phonxai village, a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to town at 03:30 PM.
